CONGRATULATIONS
The election of leaders through a fair and free election is one of the most important tasks of a democratic administration. The Tibetan exile community has carried such an exercise just few weeks ago. This process has showed that Tibetans in exile have come long way in the past 50 years in our effort to democratize our system, under the benevolent and farsighted leadership of H.H. the Dalai Lama. I am very delighted to have been a part of this very important process.
Now that the people have spoken, I respect their verdict. I would like to congratulate Mr. Norbu Tsering & Ms. Dicki Chhoyang on their election to represent Tibetans in North America in the Tibetan Parliament in Exile I wish them best of luck and all success in the important work ahead.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all people who helped and supported me in my effort, and especially those who put their confidence and trust in me to be worthy of the position. I had a wonderful time and opportunity to get to know lot of new folks, the concerns and feelings of the Tibetans around North America. I want to reiterate my commitment to the cause and will continue to involve myself in any work relating to the Tibetan community, in whatever way I can.Let me also Congratulate Kalon Tripa elect Dr. Lobsang Sangay and Wish him all success in leading the Tibetan people at this juncture. Please join me once again in wishing them all the best and success in their endeavors.

Today, the 52nd Anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising of 1959 was the day when tens of thousands of Tibetan masses rose up against the Chinese occupation of Tibet under the guise of "liberation."
